ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE? Thanks to a generous $80,000 Challenge Grant from Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, every contribution you make to the American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter for local disaster relief in Arizona is matched dollar for dollar.    Most Arizonans are aware that nationally, the American Red Cross helps families devastated by major disasters like floods, tornadoes, wildfires and earthquakes. What many do not know is that local volunteers respond every day to our most frequent and deadly local disaster – home fires – right in our own communities.   From mining towns to metropolitan areas, the Red Cross responds to a home fire twice a day. Last year, volunteers from the Grand Canyon Chapter responded to 534 disaster incidents providing local disaster response to more than 2,200 people in Arizona.   Your donation to the local disaster relief fund will help us reach our goal of $80,000 which in-turn becomes $160,000!
